PODER JUDICIÁRIO NO BRASIL
O Poder Judiciário do Brasil é o agrupamento dos órgãos públicos com os quais ocorre a atribuição constitucional brasileira da função jurisdicional. Ele é formado por cinco
órgãos, a saber: STF, STJ, tribunais regionais federais e juízes federais, tribunais e juízes militares, e tribunais e juízes dos estados, do distrito federal e dos
territórios.
Assim o STF como os tribunais superiores — quanto o Tribunal Superior do Trabalho (TST), o Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE) e o Superior Tribunal Militar (STM) — estão
sediados em Brasília, capital do país, e jurisdicionam o Brasil inteiro. 11 ministros formam o STF, cuja competência principal é guardar a constituição. 33 ministros formam,
pelo menos, o STJ. 27 Ministros formam o TST a quem compete julgar matérias trabalhistas. 7 formam o TSE, competente julgar matérias eleitorais. E o STM que é composto de 15
Ministros.
O órgão que exerce o poder judiciário estadual é o Tribunal de Justiça, além das comarcas que agregam um pequeno número de municípios, além do município-sede, propriamente
dito, uma vez que nenhuma cidade possui poder judiciário independente. Segundo as constituições federal e estaduais, somente o União e as unidades federativas devem possuir
o Poder Judiciário.

JUDICIAL POWER IN BRAZIL
