contrabass and fortepiano. This era also offered a new vocal aspect to the already established sound of the time with the development of several different forms of opera
(opera seria, opera comique, etc.)
In the Romantic era, the modern piano, with its sustained tone & wide range, took precedence over the delicate sounding fortepiano. The main difference between the two
was the types of instruments used.
Not only was music created that withstood the test of time, but there were many different and influential composers came out of the time period. Notable musicians include
Italian Baroque composer Antonio Vivaldi; German-turned-Bristish composer George Frideric Handel; prolific composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; and German composer &
pianist Ludwig van Beethoven.
